LAST SUNDAY SERVICE AT YAHSHUA HAMASHIA TABERNACLE

Sunday the 16/02/2020 was another occasion for Christians in Yaounde to gather at the tabernacle at Etougebe to worship thier God. The day as many other days began with the Sunday school services for both the adults and the children.

The adults class was lead by Brother Ombang Christian who proceeded by reading the Bible passages and the titles of the corresponding Daily Bread of the week and the tape was played to the hearing of all present. For the children’s class, Brother Jean Silatsa read Psalms 119:25 as text for the service. The lesson for both services were inspired from the Daily Bread of Sunday in the Sermon: The Easter Seal 65-0410 in which the prophet says « Are we really getting the people to God, or we are getting them to church? We must get them to Christ, where this quickening power. It’s good to go to church. Sure. If that’s as far as we go, it’s not far enough. When you come to church, that’s good ;but go on to Christ, from the church, because we must receive this quickening power, if we ever expect to be in that general resurrection,… » From the Sunday school services, followed the half an hour minutes of meditation and then a wonderful and Holy Ghosted worship and praise service lead by Brother Nantah Samuel.

All attentions were then turned to Douala where the Pastor Bahoya Samuel was presiding the web service through videoconferencing. For the text of the day, the man of God read from the Bible, Psalm 23. In a worship and praise mood, he thanked the Lord for His goodness unto the His children and also offered prayers of intercession for those sick, in tribulations, and against the spirits of nuisance that are troubling God’s children.

From the above, he opened the page of announcements of general interest in which he enlightened the church on spirit move and upcoming programs. Amongst these, he talked of:

– a Youth Retreat in the Easter period from the 10th to the 12th of April 2020 for youths between the ages of 16 to 35;

– a call unto the deacons to go in search of backsliding members to offer them another chance ;

– Age Groups file concerning absenteeism in meetings hampers participation and effectiveness , dense programs of age groups that tantamount church programs, age groups should be oriented towards the edification of the church programs ;

– meeting of young servants of God in order to canalise, orientate, encourage and advice them;

– church attendance and lateness is a call for concern, Christians should be constant and early every service day;

– Age Group Congress, towards a toll-free celebration but everybody should contribute according to their ability. It will be an ameliorate fellowship meals (agap) where people give what they have. From these announcements, the Man of God needed no transition to enter into his sermon.

Referring to Isaiah 30:1, he said woe unto those that make plans and take decisions without consulting God like the children of Israel. He said we should always consult God and those likely to advise us even in things that we feel we know. He mentioned Proverbes 16:25 which says, « There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death ». He laid a stamp print on FALSE BLESSINGS. Blessings that takes you further away from God and your responsibilities. An example is a comfortable and well-paid job that takes all your time and limit your spiritual activities, time with your family and friends. God sending you Ishmael before Isaac. The decisions we take such as going to live abroad, does it takes us closer to God? We have to ask ourselves such questions in all we do. Our church doctrine that we opted was to walk according to Revelation, do we still base on that? God promised to send us Elijah the prophet in whom He is to reveal all things to us. We are supposed to have the humidity and patience to consult God in all we do. Precipitation in spiritual things is a dangerous enemy.

The blessings of women lies in their submission unto their husbands not because he is good, kind and gentle but because the Bible has said so. They should be submissive as Sarah who being so submitted to Abraham, called him lord. He narrated the story of the prophet about the submissive woman who despite the nuisance of the husband who could still go the mile of bringing his friends to come and test the her submission. She remained submissive because she consider that as Jesus carried the cross for us all, each individual has to carry his or her own cross also. The women have to behave themselves and dress like the Nazareth women who were different from the other women. Unto men, he called on them to love and have time for their wives and children. They should not give all their time to their jobs and abandone their families.  They should take a walk and why not picnics and leisure trips with their wives and fellowship with them. They should not love their wives According to their characters and behaviors for they changes abruptly. God has loved us even in our rebellious characters and so men should love our wives and children. Parents should not relent their efforts in the upbringing and education of their children.

We should beware of false blessings. He quoted Proverbes 20:17 which says, « The bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel ». We should learn how to wait on God. We should give our worries to God, be still and He shall take care of the rest as in Psalm 46:10 and Isaiah 30:15. Like David, we should always have the Lord before us so that we should not go astray. He made reference to the sermon, « The Seven Compound Names of God » to remind his audience that God has qualifications that corresponds to every situation. Jéhovah Jireh, Rapha, Nissi, Shalom,…

He advised once more the youths in their choice of a life partner. They should endeavour to have two or three testimonies but should not strictly base their choice on dreams and visions because messages comes from God, satan and personal thoughts and daily activities. They should instead read the Bible and pray for in them are the promises of God on every situation. He quoted for example Daniel 11:32, Psalms 34:7 and 16:8. God says His angel walks before us, we should not be afraid. The Word is beautiful as it is even written, He is the  fairest amongst ten thousand. May the Lord establish our footsteps in truth. As God gave life to the death fish when the prophet Branham went fishing, may He also give life to all the domains that are death in our lives. The last prayer was then offered by Pastor Mayo Benjamin. God bless you in Jesus name.
