The week at Love Divine was marked by the sad news of the departure of our brothers Body Tchaptchet and Moussinga unto glory. It was with the reading of a vision of Brother Martinez announcing that the children of God will pass through trying times this year and those living in sin will be rewarded too. “No one can contest with God” the man of God said, “In all circumstances we can only give thanks to God”. It is certain that we shall all die in one way or the other but that should not be a fear for a child of God. You can keep yourself healthy in the best of manners but when your file is removed from amongst the living you will die. That is why is sad to see people going to charlatans for they themselves do die and usually in horrible ways. Only one can grant you security: it is He who said “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11 v 25). If He is the resurrection then there is a death but He will raise you. Take for example, you are locked up and beaten in prison with other people for a crime you committed. And you know for certain that you are amongst the people that will be granted presidential grace on the next national feast day (20th May), your attitude changes. The beatings, rotten food or poor conditions have not changed but the fact that you know for sure your misery will soon end changes your attitude. You won’t roan like the others, cursing the president, the country and even God Himself because you’ve got the revelation. And from there you thank God for all the school He made you pass through in prison. So brethren, His love is elective. The proof of His love is election. No matter what happens here on earth, I am an elect. What represents 120 years of suffering here on earth compared to an eternity of happiness? We will just regret having cursed God while on earth if we thank our parents who whipped us when we were small. Though at that time we didn’t appreciate it and could give everything to escape being beaten.
God is sovereign. He lets everything happens for a purpose. He can permit a cancer, or other sickness to visit you but in all this His eye is on you. His purpose is that after having suffered for a while, we should be established, fortified and strengthened. He Himself suffered and learned obedience through the things He suffered. Hebrews 5 v 8 – 9. In other words, the character of Jesus was made perfect by sufferings. And Paul says, He left to His church (us) a measure of suffering so that we too get to perfection. James 1 v 2 – 4. Every morning He looks at you? “How can I render this child perfect?” He asks himself. He looks at you and He does not see His reflection in you so He beats, beats, and looks again. You aren’t there yet and He continues beating. If metal had a mouth to cry, won’t it cry? Certainly, it will. When someone complains about his training, he does not know why he is being trained. The infantry does not receive the same training as the air force or the navy not do the police force receive the same training as the RIB. We have to know that all what we receive is for a purpose.
We are pilgrims on this earth and our prayer should “Help me Lord to live a life worthy of the Gospel, search my heart and if I’m following a bad way bring me back”. If you are still on earth, certainly there is something that God still wants to do through you, not for you for the greatest thing He has done for you is salvation. When God saves you, you are saved for eternity. However, if you sin thinking God cannot lose you, you will pay for it here on earth. And if it’s not enough your children will pay and your grandchildren up to fourth generation. Brother Branham teaches us that when you do good, God returns it unto your children, just like Abraham that paid tithes to Melchizedek and it was returned unto Levi his great-grandson. What legacy will you like to leave to your children? Your children can inherit your cars, houses, etc after your death or your debts.
After the reading of the bible and a prayer, the man of God continued, Thou shall not bow down before another god because the Lord your God bears the name jealous. If you are not sure of your salvation maybe because you came to church to accompany others, if have not yet had a personal experience with God then you stay at the altar till you have a conviction that God has spoken to you because the conviction of your faith will form the foundation of your building. Because the time will come when your faith will be shaken. He wrote your name before the foundation of the world with the blood of the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world.
The work on each person differs depending on his background. The objective of God is that you all reach
the same level. You all have to be Jesus-Christ reflection, no matter your background. Just like petrol from different oil wells are refined differently but the end product is same such that it can enter in the same engine.
It is not because we are saved that we can do anything we want. All what you do will eat of its fruits, that the law of sow and harvest. Galatians 6 v 7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Young people are always committing adultery and saying “I confessed and nothing happened to me”. They do not know that they are already dead though being alive. Anyway, your live proves that despite your “Amen” your name is not amongst those written in the book of life before the foundation of the world. Because if that was the case, you would be at the altar crying and praying for deliverance because the inner man does not support sin. It is in your interest to be delivered now because when you cross to the other side of the river there will be no more deliverance. Has our soul changed? I will us to meditate upon this. I hear brothers say “It is my nature; in our family we are like that” it is the old man. He can’t inherit. If you have the Holy Spirit, He shall make you to have the behaviour of the star of Jacob which is Jesus-Christ. Every Christian who hasn’t gone through breaking cannot enter. Many things occur in your life to break you down, break your pride, to humiliate you, break your self-made holiness. You can undress yourself for the healing of your physical body who will perish but you are ashamed to undress to get the healing of your soul. O Lord have mercy.
So on that day we should not hear “depart from me, ye that work iniquity”, Matthew 7 v 23. How many of us are not workers of iniquity? Doing what we know we ought not to do and we take it for granted. Samson thought he could walk away like the other times but helas, he didn’t. “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil” Ecclesiastes 8 v 11. Sometimes we think because God promised us certain things we cannot die before its accomplishments, but who knows if those things will be accomplished during your life time? We have to serve God with fear and trembling. Philippians 22 v 12 “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”
The question each person should be asking himself is “In what state will I leave the earth?”
Second Intervention :
Speaker : Rev William BRANHAM
Title: Taking sides with Jesus.
Sometimes, we get impatient like children as to the accomplishment of things. The disciples replaced Judas Iscariot with Matthias. But that was not God’s will. We have to act respectfully waiting for God to, if He wants, act through us. David waited upon God to confirm before he went into battle, then he went out courageously because he knew God was with him.
I believe the coming of Christ is closed. Paul believed that, John believed it, Irenaeus believed that. If Jesus had said 2000 years will pass before He comes the church will have grown slack in their wait. They will have gone to eat, drink and be merry for many generations have to pass before His coming. They wouldn’t have stood ready. If that anticipation habits you, even if you die you shall arise with that same anticipation. However, each saint died with a spirit of expectancy, of wait in him and will resurrect with that same wait. We don’t know the time of His coming. We have to wait for His coming at this very instant though no one knows the time of His coming, it could be in 100 years or 500 years. If we live every day as if He were coming that day, when we die (sleep) and resurrect it would be fresh as if we just went to bed. Until that time, we have to live everyday as if He were to come in the next minute for, we do not know when we will go. Our last breaths are already maybe in us so we had to live as if it were the case. We have to put our prints on the sands of time. If Paul did not advance the way he did, John would not have known how to follow, If John did not advance the way he did, Polycarp would not have known how to follow, If Polycarp did not advance the way he did, Irenaeus would not have known how to follow. Everyone has to put his prints on the sand of time.
It is with a spirit of adoration that the service was closed with a prayer from Rev MAYO Benjamin.
