LAST SUNDAY SERVICE AT LDS
This Sunday being the last of the year was dedicated to thanksgiving across the churches connected to the ministry of Rev BAHOYA Samuel. The service had three main articulations: praise service, the listening of the tape and the thanksgiving service.
Rev BAHOYA, the host of the day, took the floor to introduce the service of the tape after the adoration service. He began giving a reminder on the process of courtship as taught by the prophet. He insisted on the two criteria that must be fulfilled by a young man before he can court a lady. The young man must have something doing that brings him revenue to feed both himself and his future wife and secondly must have a home. Courting a lady without these things makes the man incapable of marrying her hence wasting her time and usually ends up in filth to the church. No matter how small the activity even if you are selling water, God blesses the hard work. Taking his example, he began courting his wife after he had found a job and as leaving on his own. He then proceeded to introduce the tape “Why the Little Bethlehem?”
The prophet in this tape talks of David, who laying down at the cave of Adullam and a band of Philistines encamped at the Valley of Rephaim, longed for water from the well of Bethlehem. David, all frustrated with the heat and potential threat from Saul meanwhile he had anointing oil on him. The waters of Palestine were evil and could transmit illness and Bethlehem was the source pf water of the region. The three men braved the Philistine guards and risked their lives for their king wanted to drink. They fought their way through, till they got to the well, carried the water and fought their way back to David. A man that was hated by the king, hated by the philistines, hated by the church but they knew he was going to be king. Today, we built churches, we sing beautiful songs but Jesus said ‘your heart is away from Me for you teach human precepts. Its in vain that you worship Me. But there are fighters that stand by His Side with a spiritual comprehension, just as in the little Bethlehem. David poured the water on the floor as an offering for he said it was the blood of the three men that risk their lives. Jesus was thus represented in David and the warriors. He is not only the bread of life but also the Water of life. He has conquered death and He poured out His blood at Calvary, not spilling but pouring, conquering all the ranks of the enemy and becoming thus the bread basket for all. This tape lasted about an hour and was concluded by a call to altar by the prophet.
The third and last articulation was the thanksgiving service. The word was brought by Rev KAMTE Robert, the guest pastor who began by expressing his sympathy to the pastor and to the church for the loss of one of their sisters, our pastor’s mother. Recalling his experience, he encouraged the host pastor with words of comfort and a word of prayer. The man of God then dived into his subject matter, reading from II Corinthians 9 v 5-7 in a sermon entitled “The Law od Sowing”. The thanksgiving offering is given to the pastor unlike the tithes that is given to the church. It is an offering given to the pastor for staying true to the word behind the altar, despite the temptations and frustrations of the enemy. Hence if you give 1000frs the your pastor has a value of 1000frs to you. Brother Branham upon going behind the curtain of time saw people who had brought to Christ. These souls welcomed him saying “if you were not there, we wouldn’t have been here”. So if our pastor enters we too will enter, if we enter our pastor too will enter. Just imagine the pastor gets to heaven and sees not his church, after learning his church is in hell, he shall ask God to send him to hell too. And since the pastor is a god that cannot be worshipped and a part of God, God in him will transform hell into paradise. Same goes if the church finds itself in heaven and its pastor in hell. Conclusion: your pastor cannot go to hell neither can you. If you go to heaven and see not your father, your mothers, etc you sad. Since heaven is a place of joy where there shall be no sadness, God will not permit that. Let’s not be hasty in condemning people for some people giv their lives to Christ while in a coma and hence are saved without having taking baptism or paying tithes. Take for example, two boxers in a ring. Each boxer has his coach following the match. When the coach sees that his player can no longer support the match, he throws a white towel to end the match. God too, sometimes ends the match when the devil maltreats you, beats you left and right and you are at the brink of backsliding, God throws the white towel which is His projected justice. 3I don’t think our parents, who laboured to bring us to this world and bring us up to be the people we are today, pastors, evangelists, saving lives for the kingdom, I don’t think God will send them to hell” the man of God said. “Maybe they shall not be part of the bride but I think they will be saved”.
The man of God then gave his life story revealing that his secret is giving to the needy. For God loves those who give with a cheerful heart and each time he gives out, God blesses him in return. He who sows little harvests little and he who sows plenty harvests plenty. He concluded the sermon by reading the life story of John Charry, a poor stammerer and his barren wife who accepted to give his house and its content o an evangelist upon God’s command. Having nowhere to sleep, he slept out in the open till God touched the heart of a rich lady who offered them her garage as a home in exchange for the mowing of her lawn. Later, God asked the lady to borrow John $1000 which he used in buying an old house for $2000, repairing with his wife and reselling at $6000. He then began buying old buildings which he revived and sold again at a higher price. Finally, he became owner of half of Phoenix, owning the biggest ranches and paying a tithe of about 1.5 billion FCFA to the prophet. Brother Branham prayed for his wife who then began experiencing child birth.
Two baskets were then brought forth for the congregation to put their thanksgiving offering accompanied by singing led by brother Paul YOGO. The man of God lifted a prayer to the LORD imploring Him to bless the assembly.
After the thanksgiving service, Rev BAHOYA Samuel, the host concluded the meeting and dismissed the assembly, standing at the door to personally greet everyone.
